| | | Ladies we spend thousands of dollars to achieve clean and clear skin but the search never comes to an end. Wearing layers of makeup to cover your misimperfections does not mean taking care of your skin. Never forget that makeup is made to enhance your beauty and to accentuate your features. Skincare products are made for treating your skin. Using products to achieve beautiful skin just isn’t enough but keeping a good daily workout routine and maintaining a well balanced are essential for not only your skin but also for your body and mind. Your skin is a result of what you intake or better known as what you eat. It’s easy to develop a daily skin care regimen to help you avoid breakouts and have clear skin. Below are some easy steps you can follow to achieve clear and healthy skin.
1. Wash your face at least twice a day but no more than three time a day using a mild cleanser according to your skin type (dry, oily or a combination of dry and oily) if you have long hair pull back from face using a headband
2. Wash your face with warm water and a splash of cold water can be refreshing as the final rinse.
3. Before going to bed splash your eyes with cold water and this will reduce the redness in your eyes as well as the puffiness.
4. Use a mild under eye cream to help reduce puffiness and the appearance of fine lines and dark circles (suggestion Mac’s Fast Response under eye cream…I love this stuff and it actually works)
5. It’s essential to moisturize your skin at least twice a day (morning and evening) using moisturizers with anti aging ingredients, vitamins and SPF (sun protection factor) will give your skin better results. If your like me and have dry skin use a creamy moisturizer instead of a lotion.
6. Exfoliate your face about twice a week using a mild exfoliator. (Mac’s Micro refine Finisher is really good)
7. Condition your lips daily using a lip conditioner.
8. Avoid touching you face at all times unless cleansing, moisturizing, exfoliating etc.
9. Eat a well balanced diet including fruits, green vegetables, drink lots of water at least 8 glasses a day and exercise at least three times a week (yes…going for a walking and stretching counts as exercise)
10. STOP squeezing those pimples, pores and sores it will leave marks on your skin
11. Last but not least treat yourself to a day spa once every two months (facial, massage, manicure, and pedicure)
