A perfect makeup bag only carries the most useful tools to help you look your best at all times. The Bag
1. Foundation or a Tinted moisturizer- Foundation is your first makeup essential when starting a basic makeup kit and its best to spend some time and effort on getting the perfect shade for your skin. Avoid using full coverage foundations for everyday use perhaps try medium to low coverage water based foundations
2. Concealer- the perfect product to cover any misimperfections instantly. Select a concealer that is long wearing or gives medium to full coverage in a shade that's close to your skin tone
3. Touch up or Blotting powder- excellent for setting foundations and for quick touch-ups during the day. It provides excellent shine control without added color or texture. Always stick with pressed powder for your kit instead of loose because they can get messy.
4. Eye shadow- A neutral shade acts as a base and will instantly brighten eyes so they pop. (avoid using glittery eye shadows for a day look)
5. Eyeliner- frames the eyes to make them stand out more
6. Mascara- defines, thicken, lengthen, and emphasize lashes. I always prefer black mascara especially for women of color.
7. Blush- meant to give color to the cheeks and it creates a fresh healthy look
8. Lip liner- Using a lip liner defines the lips, making them look perfect. It is part of creating a polished look.
9. Lipstick- will add color to the lips and help to hydrate them as well - making them look smooth and soft.
